The challenge

"There must be an easier way to do it"

Tripletex is Norway's most used cloud-based accounting system with over 130,000 customers. Their mantra since 2002 has been simplification — an easier everyday life for Norwegian companies.

But purchase invoice processing remained a pain point. Customers spent significant time on manual tasks: registering cost accounts, departments, and projects. Time-consuming work that didn't add value.

"The problem we saw was that customers use a lot of time to post incoming invoices. These manual tasks can easily be automated, and our customers can spend their time on more value-adding tasks."

The decision

Build or buy? The answer was clear.

Tripletex's team — technical from day one — evaluated building AI models in-house. They quickly realized the complexity.

"AI models are far more complex than you might think. If you were to do it on your own you would have to have a significant amount of resources aimed to only focus on that very specific domain."

After evaluating multiple providers internationally, Tripletex chose FabricAI — the most advanced AI models tailored for purchase invoice processing, from the most advanced market.

Why FabricAI

Not just technology — the right partner.

Almost all automation solutions on the market focus on prefilling data. FabricAI's approach goes further: reduce the number of invoices the accountant needs to process at all.

"When contemplating the providers we learned that Finland has come further than Norway regarding technological advancements. It was a natural choice to pick a provider from the most advanced market."
"FabricAI is an entrepreneurial, young, forward-leaning company that pushes forward to create change. Their drive truly impressed us."

The result

A foundation for the future.

With FabricAI, Tripletex now provides autonomous invoice processing for their entire customer base. But launching was just the beginning.

"We have a good foundation to build on. Now we can finally start building on top of that and creating more value. It has been a big milestone to get here."

Together, the focus now shifts to better project predictions, multi-account invoices, PDF formats alongside EHF, and inspiring more users to embrace automation.

Tripletex says

"Partnering with FabricAI was a great choice. They have the same flat structure as we do, which makes them easy to work with. If you need someone, you won't face slow processes due to hierarchy."

— Jorid Trandem, Product Owner, Tripletex

FabricAI says

"From the beginning, it has been clear that this cooperation is a match made in heaven. By joining our forces, we have been able to take huge steps forward in a short time."

— Tuukka Seeslahti, Product Director, FabricAI

Advice from Tripletex

What they'd tell others considering invoice automation

"Start early! Have recurring meetings. Be open and try to have someone who has the time to understand how FabricAI and the model work. Take time to explain how your company and software operate. Both parties can provide a lot of insights to each other and learn together along the way."
