Neverlook by FabricAI

The story behind Neverlook

The monthly bill that never paid back .

Neverlook is the autonomous invoice automation engine, built by FabricAI and shipped through Visma. This is how both names started: with a frustrated entrepreneur, a monthly invoice nobody could explain, and a question that wouldn't go away.

FabricAI team at the moment the idea clicked

For years, we ran businesses the way most entrepreneurs do: heads down, cashflow first, and one eye on the inbox at the end of the month. That's where the accounting invoice lived. Hundreds of euros. Every month. And the frustrating part wasn't the price. It was the feeling that nothing came back. No insight. No direction. Just a receipt for "work done."

We kept asking the same question: What are we actually paying for?

Following the cost back to the work

The investigation

We weren't paying for accounting. We were paying for paperwork.

So we did what entrepreneurs do when something feels wrong. We investigated. We pulled the process apart and traced where the hours went. And the answer was painfully clear.

The biggest cost driver in accounting wasn't strategy. It wasn't forecasting, planning, or helping a company grow. It was the repetitive, manual handling of purchase invoices and receipts.

Then we found the perfect symbol for the problem: a donut.

"That €1 purchase could easily cost five times more once it had been received, checked, typed, posted, filed, and approved."

A naive claim, out loud

The question that became the company.

At the time, we were already testing where AI could make a real difference. Not "faster clicks." Not "a nicer interface." Real change: removing work entirely.

And with the kind of naive confidence that only experienced entrepreneurs can afford, we said it out loud:

"This shouldn't take years. We can solve this in months."

The goal wasn't to help an accountant. It was to make looking at invoices unnecessary.

The early prototype that proved the idea
The prototype that caught Rantalainen's attention

The prototype

A proof-of-concept that turned heads.

We built a working prototype. It wasn't perfect, but it proved the point: purchase invoices can move from raw input to booked entries without a human babysitting the process.

That prototype caught the attention of Rantalainen, one of Finland's early leaders in digital accounting. In 2019 they came in as a minority investor and partner, bringing the one thing we didn't have enough of: deep industry know-how and real operational reality.

From 2018 to today

Eight years from a naive question to a product line.

Every step happened on real production volumes. Never just decks.

In 2026, after pilot, we gave the engine a name of its own: Neverlook. Now offered to software companies whose users feel the work disappear first.

The metric that keeps us honest

One number, because usage lies and this doesn't.

We don't measure success by how many AI features we ship. We don't even measure it by "usage". For automation, usage can be misleading. We measure one thing that can't be faked:

The only number that matters

Never Look
Rate

How many purchase invoices reach accounting
without a human ever having to look at them.

95%
5-year target

"Work removed,
not work rearranged."

The team building toward 95%

The future we're building toward

Five years. 95%. No human work.

Our target is simple to say and hard to achieve: within five years, 95% of purchase invoices should be processed into accounting without human work.

Not to replace accountants. To free them.

When invoice handling disappears, the money businesses already pay for accounting can finally go to work that actually moves the business forward:

  • Budgeting that supports real decisions
  • Cashflow forecasts that prevent surprises
  • Guidance that helps companies grow

What we believe, in one line

AI shouldn't help people do more work.
It should remove work,
so people can do what matters.
